We load the waste: No matter where it is, Magna Carbon waste management will retrieve your items and load our truck. WHERE DOES THE WASTE GO? At Magna Carbon, we have made it a priority to recycle and donate as much items as possible. It reduces space in the landfill and saves the company money. We have to pay to dispose of items at the landfill. If we can donate or recycle the item then we get to help out the environment, help out someone in need, and save ourselves money. Everyone wins. Responsible Waste Disposal If we do need to dispose of an item we will do so only at licensed facilities. Most haulers who are less expensive than us might not do so. There’s a good chance you’ll see your items on the side of the road one day. Items We DO NOT Accept: Car fluids like oil and antifreeze, Wet paint, Herbicides and pesticides, Fuels like gasoline, Pressurized containers, Bleach and cleaners, Biohazard items, Any other hazardous materials, Items located in dangerous areas, Items too massive to lift safely What do you do with the waste you collect from me? We take our aim to recycle/recover 100% of your waste seriously, so you can rest assured that the waste we collect from you will be screened for recyclables at our dedicated waste transfer facility before being transferred for further treatment to put it back into use. Can your team enter my property to collect the waste? Our waste collection teams can only enter your property with your permission and where it is safe to do so. We provide waste collection as a wait and load service, which means our team will need your waste to be gathered so that it can be quickly taken to our dedicated collection vehicles. What hours does the waste collection service operate? We operate Monday to Friday 6:30am to 5:00pm and on Saturdays from 6:30am to 1:00pm. What type of waste can I dispose of via waste collection? We can collect a whole range of materials, including wood, cardboard, glass, textiles, metals, plastics and tiles. Items we cannot collect include food waste, oils, asbestos, chemical and liquid waste, animal products and medical or biological waste. If you’re ever unsure if we’ll take your waste, we advise you to call us and we’ll be happy to talk about what you’re looking to dispose of. Can I leave waste on the kerbside for you to collect? While you can prepare for our arrival by bringing your waste out of your building, you should always ensure you are not blocking the pavement or creating a hazard to the general public. Your waste should also not be left unattended for a long period and we will require someone to be present to confirm the waste materials that are to be collected. Does my waste need to be bagged to be collected? Bagging your business waste makes collection easier, but we understand that not all waste can be easily bagged.
